American Empire sideboard of highly figured crotch mahogany. The cabinet base of tripartite form, the beveled drawers above cross banded, paneled cupboard doors terminate on bracket feet. General form, cypress secondaries and provenance indicate Louisiana origin. Overall height 54", cabinet height 42", length 64 1/2", depth 20". Circa 1840.
